A Place for Every Man: Burnhill MENding Minds

Men don’t always have a place to talk about loneliness and the other stuff that comes with it, but in Burnhill they do.

The Burnhill MENding Minds group is based at the High Backs and meets regularly to get stuck into practical activities together - joinery, plumbing, garden maintenance, cycling. The doing is the point, but so is the company. The two tend to go hand in hand.

The group secured funding through South Lanarkshire Council’s Participatory Budgeting scheme to build a dedicated space for their activities at the High Backs. The bid was put together by the community, for the community, and it was successful.
